Help Children's Learning Center raise $7,200 to provide 1-8 scholarships to eligible families.
WHO WE ARE? Children's Learning Center (CLC) is a not for profit, 501c3, that relies heavily upon the generosity of others to continue to provide the much needed developmental services and programming to young children with and without special needs and developmental delays. Currently, 73% of the children enrolled at CLC have special needs or developmental delays. In addition, over half of the children enrolled receive some type of funding assistance.
OUR PROJECT - There has been a growing demand for a scholarship fund and CLC has the desire to find a way to allow children who need our services, be able to attend. Your donation will help a child, 2 - 6 years of age, the opportunity to at least receive a partial scholarship to attend CLC. The funds are distributed to qualified families to attend our high quality, inclusive program, with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of children we serve. For 2016, we provided services to 116 children.
The scholarship funds would be available to families who otherwise would not be able to afford high quality programming for their child. Our center is also a Missouri Accredited Center as well as an Advanced Eat Smart Program.
WHAT WE DO - Our services are invaluable as no other agency provides the same services or offers as many opportunities for families with children with special needs and developmental delays. CLC provides community integration, social skills and self-help/adaptive improvement for children of all abilities. Our center provides an inclusive environment that other centers do not provide including a sensory room, therapy swings, motor room, and low teacher to child ratios. CLC strives on low ratios and aims for 1 teacher to 4 children, unless a 1 on 1 paraprofessional is required, to meet each unique child's needs.
LEARN MORE - There is no greater investment that the investment you can make in the life of a child! We also love visitors and volunteers, so feel free to stop by anytime for a tour!
